HWR Web

H.W.Richardson Group

DESCRIPTION

We were set to build a new, fresh and timeless website for HWR group to properly present the size and power of the company with over 1750 staff, 62 companies in 6 sectors. This job needed excellent project management and communication, extra ordinary design and even better technical capabilities to pull off.

Apollo Web

Apollo Projects

DESCRIPTION

This was a difficult job, a large website for an even larger and high achieving client, Alexanders were tasked to reskin the website, design and build a new template for inside pages, restructure the website map, make the website mobile friendly and make it more interactive. We had to focus to add a human touch to te website and at the same time keep the integrity of the complicated work Apollo Projects. Be the judge yourself and take a look at their new website below.

Canterbury Drapes Web

Canterbury Drapes

DESCRIPTION

It is always a difficult task to design and build something to satisfy a customer who has designer eyes. We had to be creative and step outside the box to deliver a unique website that does justice to their unique products. Horizontal scrolling, yes horizontal scrolling. Check the website and see how different it is to scroll this website. But that is not all, we made sure the product pages and portfolio are as good and can convert visitors.

Spraymarks Web

SprayMarks

DESCRIPTION

We had to be creative to integrate four quite separate divisions for this engineering and graphic design company.  The solution was colour theming photos which successfully united the different units.  A deep scrolling homepage in the current trend enabled us to showcase all that the company does in a small space.

LiftX website

LiftX

DESCRIPTION

We found room to animate a scissor lift on the home page of the new Liftx website.  This design incorporates the new trend for longer home page layout, with smaller clusters of copy, so that by the time you've got to the bottom of the home page, you already have a good idea of what the company offers, without having to trawl through lots of pages (though there's plenty more info and action buttons at the bottom to keep people on site).

Arborgreen

DESCRIPTION

The flexibility of the platform we used on this site for a landscape and arborist supplies importer enables them to add modules in stages such as a product catalogue and store.  However they moved to an ecommerce store which required a different platform.  We've been working with them to drive traffic to a "direct" model of income generation through online ad campaigns to gardeners, blogs and insertions in newsletters for arborists, and optimisation.

Digital news of the month.

Google Green Ads!

Not long ago Google changed the colour of their ads from yellow to green, you may remember the "Ads" symbol on the first couple of lines of results indicating an advertisement; yes that is what has been changed. You might ask "this is not a major change, why is it important?"

Now the ads are very similar to the organic search results, this means number of clicks on the ads can potentially increase. This comes a month after Google started to show more ads on top and bottom of the first search result page. One might say, Google is looking to make more money and help more business to be found through ads. Yet comparing to other search engines such as Yahoo and Bing, Google's green ads are easier to spot.

Google launched green ads first in USA and then in Europe, interestingly enough the results are showing some slight change in the click through rates (CTR) on the new design, maybe a good news to advertisers to get more traffic for their money after all.
